Crafted through the meeting of flame, earth, and tradition, these candles bring together two timeless Irish crafts — beekeeping and pottery. Each one is hand poured with a blend of pure beeswax from our own hives and from fellow local beekeepers, creating a natural, honey-scented glow that speaks of community and care.

The ceramic vessels are hand thrown by Finn Ceramics in Co. Tipperary and feature embossed designs inspired by Ireland’s wildflowers and pollinators — from fuchsia and meadow grasses to the humble bee itself. Every piece is unique, celebrating the quiet beauty of our native landscape.

Once the candle has burned, the vessel can be treasured anew — as a keepsake pot, planter, or refilled with fresh beeswax for continued use.

A thoughtful gift that honours collaboration, sustainability, and the gentle rhythm of nature.

  • Each Buzzing Meadows candle is hand poured with pure Irish beeswax — a natural material that deserves gentle care. With the right attention, your candle will burn cleanly, evenly, and for many peaceful hours.

    Candle Care

    • First burn: Allow the wax to melt fully across the top before extinguishing. This helps prevent tunnelling and ensures an even burn in future.

    • Trim the wick: Before each lighting, trim the wick to about 5mm (¼ inch) to keep the flame steady and reduce smoke.

    • Burn time: Limit each burn to 3–4 hours to protect the ceramic vessel. Allow it to cool before relighting.

    • Keep it level: Place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from draughts.

    • Reuse & refill: When your candle has finished, gently warm the vessel to remove any remaining wax, wipe clean, and return it to us for a refill — or repurpose it as a keepsake pot or small planter.

    Safety Information

    • Never leave a burning candle unattended.

    • Keep away from children, pets, and anything flammable.

    • Do not move the candle while it’s lit or when the wax is liquid.

    • Stop burning when approximately 1cm of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel.

    • Avoid placing near open windows or on delicate surfaces.

Each candle is made to be enjoyed — slowly, safely, and with respect for the natural materials and craftsmanship that created it.
