Each candle is handcrafted in small batches on our farm near Lough Derg in the west of Ireland, using traditional, artisanal techniques rooted in sustainable beekeeping. Made with locally sourced beeswax and a natural cotton wick, this Irish beeswax candle celebrates the beauty of natural materials and careful craftsmanship, resulting in a candle that feels authentic and full of character.
Beeswax candles are valued for their naturally clean-burning properties and minimal processing. Unlike soya wax candles, beeswax does not require chemical processing to make it usable, remaining close to its natural state from hive to home. Its subtle, honeyed aroma is entirely natural, offering a soft sensory experience without synthetic fragrances or additives.
With its smooth finish and understated rustic charm, this beeswax pillar candle is ideal for layering with other candles or enjoying on its own. Whether you’re styling a cosy corner or choosing to buy beeswax candles online in Ireland that are handmade, sustainable, and thoughtfully produced, this 9cm pillar offers simplicity, warmth, and purpose in equal measure.

You may notice a light white or cloudy film developing on the surface of your beeswax candle over time. This is known as bloom.
Bloom is a completely natural process and a sign of pure, high-quality beeswax. It occurs when natural wax crystals rise to the surface and does not affect how the candle burns.
If you prefer a polished look, bloom can be gently removed by:
Lightly buffing with a soft cloth
Briefly warming the surface with your hands
Many people choose to leave bloom as it is — a quiet mark of authenticity.

To enjoy your beeswax candle safely and to get the best burn:
Trim the wick to approximately 5–7 mm before each burn
Always place the candle on a heat-resistant surface
Keep away from draughts for an even, steady flame
Allow the first burn to melt fully across the top to prevent tunnelling
Never leave a burning candle unattended
Keep out of reach of children and pets
Snuff the flame gently rather than blowing it out
With proper care, beeswax candles burn slowly, cleanly, and beautifully.
